The AP431 replacement cartridge is designed specifically for use with the 3M Aqua-Pure AP430SS Scale Inhibition System, offering an easy-to-replace module that keeps your hot-water appliances and plumbing protected from scale and corrosion. 
This cartridge delivers reliable performance in applications such as water heaters (tank or tankless), boiler systems, and whole-house plumbing setups.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

• Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure before replacing the cartridge.

• Remove the old cartridge and install the new AP431 unit according to the head housing instructions of the AP430SS system.

• After installation, flush water for a brief time to clear any particles or loose media before connecting to appliances.

• Monitor system performance: if you notice increased scale or reduced flow, consider checking upstream sediment filters or water-quality issues.

• While this cartridge inhibits scale, it does not soften water or remove hardness completely. If full softening is needed, a dedicated water-softener should be considered in addition.
